Honestly, I think mounts are cool but I don't really care to get them or about them all that much I sometime dismount just to feel the old days when I didn't have a mount. I first started playing in mid july I think or June maybe a month earlier, 2014. When mounts were announced brought me back got my raptor that's cool dinosaur thingy. Got to move faster, after a bit of playing pve and pvp took a break came back in 2020 hearing about new expansion stuff and just wanted to pvp again. Started EoD story and got the turtle. had some prior lore knowledge but not much but still fun story and fun boss fights and grinded for that. I am happy I did I was able to help others beat KO strike mission. Not sure if you would consider me vet? But in all honestly don't really care for mounts i have only like 5? I prefer pvp and playing WvW for 1v1 duels. I think they are dope just not my thing. I think it's cool there are more avenues/ways to unlock mounts. But never really going to do them tbh, if I do spend time to get a mount it would probably be the beetle mount so I can drive around super fast and and look cool before I crash into something or fall off a cliff xD

Thief commander WVW?

I normally roam but I have tag and turn it on, and have led sizeable groups almost always without voice because I am a shy/introvert pug commander. I normally play thief when I am in wvw and when I turn my tag on. 8 months ago, I got into contact with other thief players who used to command back in the day. To summarize their responses: Either buff up your hp so you can actually lead more so from the front, or go full dps and watch your positioning (use voice), or a mix of dps and tank gear. It's harder for sure basically and the people whom I questioned and I think in other online posts about this topic suggest specter because of the double health bar. I believe not to long ago support specter was on metabattle in the zerg section. For some groups like the guild I am in we absolutely allow support specters which use minstal gear which can be a nice hp/tank set up maybe that can work for a commander thief but at the end of the day, atm guard, mesmer are go to commanders. In smaller havoc squads focusing on taking smaller objectives thief can work I would say. If you try to lead a zerg group I would suggest smoke screen as it can block projectiles for you and your team and/or dagger storm if you don't feel that confident with a tankish set up or a full zerk gear. You could also, designate a lieutant and give them a mark above their head incase you are afraid you will go down quick. Probably a friend who is experienced in zerg fights who can act as a back up lead.

If I go seal area not sure what I can drop maybe the stealth stun break but that gives me stab which I heard is like one of the most important boons right now in wvw

Well according to the reddit post 8 years ago which I am guessing I can see it making sense still a bit to this day is that the commander needs to survive most of the fight or all of it. Because a dead commander could lead into a morale loss or confusion and panic and making it so if the enemy are more organized will notice this and pounce. This is what I have so far assuming Dire is still good I think having a weapon set for more melee will be nice just don't know what. I think short bow is a must have for range, slight cc. WvW Thief Commander?

Not sure if this should be World vs World part of the forums or here? I was curious because I love thief and I have a tag if there any thief commander builds or if anyone has tried to make one recently the the ones I found were on reddit post but that was 8 years ago xD Those build suggested dire or cleric. But 8 years! Not sure if that stuff still applies. Has anyone theory crafted builds like this? What gears and skills/abilities you guys use?

I tend to play shouthealer so I don't care really about the banner changes but I get it somewhat I have used them in raids a few times and in strikes several times (tend to play strikes more). I'll miss the improvement of your stats and the group stats. Providing a banner and boons that a firebrand or heal mech can provide? and they like so famous everyone play them? xD I don't know maybe if they die I'll do something and provide boons but never really touched them as much as shouting. Don't think I'll ever touch them now after this patch releases. Unless the people providing boons suck at providing them which rarely happens IMO. At least, I haven't really run into that many players most of them seem good/decent at providing boons. Just glad my shouthealer didn't get nerfed into oblivion. If it does I have backup builds mantra healer Mesmer and other ones healing Reaper, etc I tend to play less meta stuff. Just what I like to do. So the patch for warrior didn't affect me as much hopefully banners change again next balance patch into something else or maybe give us an alac banner that would be really cool, if we keep the boon banner stuff. I am sad a bit but also excited for the future of Guild Wars 2. Steam release sometime in the future. So many new players! I'm so excited I love helping new players in this game clearing AC dungeon, and clearing KO to help them get their turtle. Maybe one-day ele will get longbow in one of the next expansions?

Can we remove Rampage?

In pvp I make getaways with Rampage when I see the fight is lost my team dying on the point I sometimes go into Rampage and get out of there quickly. Funny thing is when one or two players try to chase me and fail. I think it would be cool to have an elite shout skill or something else added but otherwise I like rampage and not just in pvp sometimes I use it to help cc breakbars. Not everyone has Berserker and Head Butt.

Yeah happened to me as well! Tried multiple times even left the instance with the entire group just to run into it again. Some Vitality Equalizer thing? Then if there not the same when the time hits it seems to one shot everyone in the group. I don't remember the vitality equalizer being in normal mode. Also, checked my logs since our group can't beat it within 16m and 1second we all get instant KO at that time also.
